This grain whisky was distilled at North British distillery in Edinburgh in 1962. Hunter Laing decided to bottle this cask after 50 years of maturation at cask strength, 57.2%. Producer’s Tasting Notes:A powerful initial nose of sultanas, raisin, sherry and rhubarb with custard. On the palate, a smooth, creamy, oaky taste with vanilla, custard coming to the fore. In the background, there is a slight leathery note of tasted nuts. A long, dry finish with a sherry sweetness and oakiness.
