Glen Grant (Sherry) 1970 / 31 Year Old

Rating: Not Rated Yet Manufacturer: Samaroli Email
  • Description
  • Reviews
This malt was distilled in 1970 at Glen Grant distillery in Speyside and laid down to mature for 31 years in a Sherry Wood Puncheon Cask. Even after such a long time of maturation the cask yielded 480 bottles which is quite high for such an old cask. Full-bodied, elegant, and fruity, this is a must have whisky for every sherry cask fan.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Rich, polished, sherried, followed by a bouquet of red fruits.
Palate: Slightly smoky, big start, full bodied, opening up with sweet fruits, slight oakiness on the back
Finish: Long and lingering
