Founded in 1897 by John Duff. BenRiach, named for the Gaelic for ‘speckled mountain’, was one of the few distilleries with its own floor malting, which for many years supplied neighbouring Longhorn. Opens sugary swet with a backdrop of ginge and cinnamon and breakfast cereal. The palate is honey, gently warming spice with a late juicy barley quality. The finish is honey and toffee, medium long.
