The Whisky Library's private bottle

Tung Shu (通書). literally means "All-knowing Book". However, in Cantonese Chinese the pronunciation of the word for "book" is a homophone of the word “defeated” (輸), so Tung Shu sounded like "Defeated in everything" (通輸). Therefore, the name was changed to Tung Shing (通勝), which means "Victorious in All Things". Tung Shing is a Chinese divination guide consisting primarily of a calendar based on the Chinese lunar year.
Most of the contents of the book deals with what is suitable to do on each day like wedding ceremonies, house moving-in and big contract signings, as well as smaller events like time to start renovations or travel.
2021 may be a difficult year for many of us, but we like to offer something cheerful to share with friends and family, so here is the Ledaig 13y Hong Kong Exclusive.
A happy whisky with a happy label inspired by Tung Shing. We want this whisky to be positive to everyone, with wishes of all things going well. Mildly peaty Ledaig whisky made from Tobermory Distillery, aged in fine PX Sherry cask, filled with warm and sweet flavours of plum and a hint of smoked sea salt.
