18 year old rum from the Caroni distillery in Trinidad, drawn from a single cask which matured the rum from 1998. On the nose is bbq pineapple (with a touch of meaty smoke lingering too), joined by a good whack of cardamom and clove spiciness. Palate is slightly sherried on the palate with dark chocolate, more clove and mince pie-filling. The finish is the smoke from the nose returns, alongside a dollop of honey.
