1. Appearance

2. Nose

Nestled on the remote Morvern Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland, Nc'nean has been at the forefront of the "forward-thinking, eco-conscious, and organic" movement since it began distilling in 2017.

• 100% Organic Barley: The distillery strictly uses locally sourced, certified organic Scottish barley. Although it yields a lower alcohol spirit per ton, it imparts a noticeably pure, robust, and creamy maltiness to the new make.

• Slow Fermentation & High-Neck Stills: A remarkably long fermentation time of 114 hours, paired with uniquely designed tall, slender copper pot stills, is engineered to extract an abundance of vibrant floral-fruity esters and a delicate oily texture.

1. Appearance

Bright pale gold. A viscous rim and slow-moving legs hint at the rich lipids derived from the organic barley.

2. Nose

The initial nosing opens with a refreshing wave of crisp orchard fruits—think ripe yellow apples, lemon zest, and a subtle hint of tropical pineapple. Soon after, the clean, distillate-forward style characteristic of Thompson Brothers selections emerges, revealing notes of freshly baked malt biscuits, delicate white florals, and a touch of fresh mint and garden herbs.
