A limited edition Campbeltown blended malt bottled by the independent bottler Douglas Laing in their Remarkable Regional Malt series.
The nose opens with crisp sea air, gentle smoke, Manuka honey and a hint of dried seaweed. The palate initially shows a maritime character, leading to sugary shortbread, dried oak and gristy cereals. A distinctly spicy finish brings puffs of smoke, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon pancakes.
This Campbeltown release matured in bourbon casks followed by a sherry cask finish and was bottled in 2023 at 50% of ABV, non chill filtered and with no added color, as a limited release of 5580 bottles.
