Description

This limited edition blend was produced in collaboration with Serge Valentin to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of his spirits review website, whiskyfun.com.

This 5 year old Blended Malt consists of whiskies made in the historic county of Sutherland in the northern highlands, including Dornoch distillery. The label is inspired by the old Ainslie & Hebron bottlings of Brora (known at the time as Clynelish - Clynelish distillery as we know it today would come later).

Red fruits, vanilla, rhubarb with custard, pine kernels, toasted oak and soft spiced fruits with a light syrup, oaky with fresh ripe banana and peach on the nose. Signature waxy oily mouthfeel, sweet spices with a touch of honey glazed cashews, black pepper and slight tart grape notes, vanilla and ginger, soft tropical fruits on the palate. The finish was medium length and gentle with melted butter and sugary citrus.

One of 636 bottles and bottled in 2023 at cask strength, 48.5%. Non-chill filtered and no added color.
