Douglas Laing's Premier Barrel Selection, which is inspired by the "good old days" of Victorian Music Hall. The malts that fill into this unique ceramic decanter are selected from single casks hailed from many whisky regions in Scotland.
Benrinnes distillery was built by Peter Mackenzie in 1826. It lies at the bottom of the Ben Rinnes hill. The water for the Scotch comes from the Rowan Tree Burn, the Scurran Burn and the Benrinnes Spring.
One of just 618 bottles hand filled decanters, regular strength of 46% ABV to maintain drinkability, and is no colouring and non-chillfiltered to ensure that the personality of this cask remains.
On the nose, this is all cherries and spice! Sandalwood, clove, cinnamon all invite you to enjoy. Chocolate and cherry abound and take on the richness of a black forest in the mouth. This is a beautifully intense, spicy finish that fades to burned sugar and black peppercorn.
