Description

We proudly present to you the first Single Malt Scotch Whisky of Ardnahoe Distillery- The Inaugural Release!

The limited-edition first single malt from the ninth and newest distillery on Islay, founded by the team behind the Glasgow-based independent bottlers, Hunter Laing & Co. Matured for five years in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the expression has been presented at 50% abv, free from chill filtration and at natural colour.

With peated barley sourced from Islay’s fabled Port Ellen Maltings and with phenol content of 40ppm — similar to Caol Ila (35-38ppm) and Lagavulin (35ppm) 

Nose: It presents the typical Islay peat smoke aroma, accompanied by scents of fruit cake, candied apples, and dark cherries. There is also a sweetness like custard, a rich malt aroma, and subtle hints of lemon peel, vanilla, and oak.

Palate: On the palate, it offers a custard-like texture, combined with the freshness of ginger and lemon peel. Upon closer tasting, the flavor of baked apples comes through. The overall taste is rich and well-balanced, and despite the 50% ABV, it is not overly strong.

Finish: The finish is long and dominated by a persistent smokiness, which is a characteristic feature of Islay whiskies.

All purchases will be shipped within 3 business days. Each business day ends at 17:00 Hong Kong local time.

All purchases above the sub-total of $1800 HKD will be waived of delivery fees. For deliveries within Hong Kong $80 HKD will be charged if the purchase which total amount is below $1800 HKD.

Deliveries can only be made to Discovery Bay, Park Island and Tung Chun on Tuesday and Thursday.

There will also be additional delivery costs incurred to deliveries made for Cheung Chau, Lo Wu; Sha Tau Kok, Lok Ma Chau, Mai Po, Ta Kwu Ling; Po Toi, and Lamma Island. Please get in touch to know more of the arrangements.
