Ardlair is the name used for Ardmore distillery’s rare unpeated malt whisky, first distilled in the early years of this century and normally reserved exclusively as blending stock.
On the nose comes buttery popcorn, floral and dried lemon. Vanilla, wafer, biscuit, lemon meringue pie, fresh grass and floral notes. Palate is creamy and oily, melon starts to show. Then you have the peppery & a hint of smoke in here. Ardlair, with light peat but not Ardmore. Long and coastal vibes, clean finish.
A single malt whisky distilled at Ardmore, aged in oak for 11 years (Refill Barrel), bottled at 50% ABV. Only 287 bottles were produced.
