Hunter Laing is one of the most established brands in the Independently Bottled Whisky market. Its single malt series - Old Malt Cask, has spent twenty years as one of the market leaders in the single cask category. As the reputation of Hunter Laing rests on the quality of each release, they aim to ensure that each new bottling delights the consumer as much as the last one.

The Auchroisk (pronounced ‘OH-thrusk’) distillery was built in 1972 by the Justerini & Brooks company. The construction was finished in 1974. The whisky production of Auchroisk was originally planned to use in the J&B blend. However, the first Single Malt of Auchroisk was released four years later in 1978.

The official bottling of Auchroisk was once rebranded and sold under the name "The Singleton" in 1986 as the company deemed the name is difficult to read for the international customers.

One of just 181 bottles, filled from an oak barrel number HL19715, at the series regular strength of 50% ABV to maintain drinkability. It is non-chill-filtered to ensure that the personality of this cask remains.

The nose opens up with mellow apple and forest fruit. A gentle harmony of red berries and chocolate in the mouth. The finish is long and warming - lingers on more sweet fruit.
