Big Peat The Thropaigeach Edition Fèis ìle 2025

It is tradition for Douglas Laing to release a limited edition for Feis Ile each year. Big Peat, their Islay blended malt whisky, often gets a special finish for the Islay festival. 

Bottled to commemorate the annual Fèis Ìle, Big Peat brings his story back to where the journey first began – the unique island Big Peat calls home, Islay. Maturation in Refill Hogsheads allows our Big Peat spirit to shine, further enhanced by the unique distinction of being a 2010 vintage.

This bottle delivers the classic Big Peat profile of sweet smoke, briny oceanic character and notes of sugary kelp, coal dust, chimney soot and damp bonfire ash – concluding with “his” anticipated long-lasting smoky BBQ character.

Distilled in 2010 in only Islay's finest distilleries, and matured in Refill hogsheads until 2025. It is bottled at 50% strength to maintain drinkability, and is non-chillfiltered to ensure that the personality of this cask remains.
