Armagnac is a distinctive kind of brandy produced in the Armagnac region in Gascony, southwest France, uses three additional grape varietals: Folle blanche, Colombard, and Baco Blanc. Cognac goes through two rounds of distillation in pot stills, while Armagnac only goes through one in a column still. A fuller-bodied style when compared to Cognac.
