Haut Brion... and Bruichladdich? A match made in heaven for lovers of wine and whisky!!!

Haut-Brion shows considerable promise, revealing aromas of dark berries and plums mingled with notions of pencil lead, licorice, tobacco leaf, spices and incense. Full-bodied, broad and seamless, it's rich and muscular, with a deep, layered core of fruit framed by an ample endowment of tannin. 

Bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their 'Old Particular' collection, this particular release spent 12 years slowly maturing in french oak casks that was previously used in maturing red wine from Bordeaux's 6th first-growth vineyard Chateau Haut Brion! Bruichladdich's signature unpeated malt has proven itself to be a fantastic maturing in wine casks, this is no exception.

This Bruichladdich single malt produced only 386 bottles. It is bottled at 48.4% ABV strength to maintain drinkability, and is non-chillfiltered to ensure that the personality of this cask remains.
