Delicious whisky from the island of Jura, produced by the distillery which shares its name and bottled by Hunter Laing. This one was distilled back in 2008 and aged in a sherry butt for 13 years, and then finally bottled up in 2022 for the Old Malt Cask range. 619 bottles were produced.
The nose is sweet with vanilla, lemon curd and earthy notes, with rich notes of dark chocolate, bitter orange and pickled pear developing on a smooth palate. The finish is long and lingering sweet oak note, with a slightly dry and pleasant aftertaste.
